The New Alcalá Theatre opened its doors for the first time in 1927, under the signature of the architect Luis Ferrero.
After fourteen years of silence and closed curtains, in 2001 it was recovered by the businessman Alejandro Romay who, together with the architect Margarita Massó, built the current New Alcalá Theatre on the same site where the old Alcalá Palace Theatre used to stand.
