Richmond Theatre is one of the oldest surviving theatres designed by the renowned architect Frank Matcham. A quaint, Grade II listed building dating back to 1899, sat in the heart of the vibrant Richmond community on the outskirts of London. The historic venue presents a wide range of quality drama, musicals, opera, dance, family entertainment and variety each year. Playing to both London audiences and regional audiences, Richmond Theatre welcomes a quarter of a million theatre goers to over 40 outstanding productions annually, performing for about 49 weeks every year.
Legendary performers including Dame Judi Dench and Sir Ian McKellen have recently graced the Richmond Theatre stage with special one-night events. The venue has also hosted many acclaimed productions such as A Little Life starring James Norton, Prima Facie starring Jodie Comer, and Vanya starring Andrew Scott, all of which earned widespread acclaim in the West End.
