Build in 1928 as a legitimate theater, the Music Hall remains one of the finest examples of art deco architecture in Detroit, with curved wood paneled walls, silk drapes, specially designed seats and carpet, and multi-tiered lobby. Today, Music Hall stands as one of Detroit’s premier venue for jazz, theater, and dance. It is also on the National Register of Historic Places.
